Photo Editing Terms

A written quote, invoice, or project agreement may add project-specific terms. If it directly conflicts with this page, the signed or accepted project document controls.

1. Ownership and permission

You must own the submitted files or have permission from the copyright owner to request the editing. You remain responsible for claims arising from files, logos, artwork, trademarks, or instructions you provide.

2. Scope and source quality

The approved quote defines the files, requested changes, output format, intended use, turnaround, and included revisions. Results depend on the source file. Severe blur, missing detail, compression, clipping, occlusion, low resolution, and damaged files may limit what can be recovered.

3. Editing discretion and AI-assisted tools

Highness Media may use professional software features, including AI-assisted selection, masking, cleanup, noise reduction, generative fill, or enhancement tools, when appropriate to complete an approved request. These tools support the editing process; every deliverable remains subject to human review. Highness Media will not knowingly use client files to train a public AI model.

4. Prohibited requests

Highness Media may refuse work that appears unlawful, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, exploitative, intended to impersonate or defraud, or designed to create false evidence or materially misrepresent a person without appropriate consent.

5. Revisions

Only the revision rounds stated in the accepted quote are included. A revision must stay within the approved creative direction and be requested within seven calendar days of delivery unless another period is stated. New concepts, replacement source files, or changes outside the approved scope may require a new quote.

6. Delivery and color

Files are delivered in the agreed format and size. Color and brightness can vary between screens, devices, labs, and printers. Print matching or specialized export preparation is included only when stated in writing.

7. File storage and deletion

You are responsible for downloading and backing up delivered files. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, Highness Media may delete submitted source files, working files, previews, and deliverables after 30 days. Long-term storage and recovery are not guaranteed.

8. Payment, cancellation, and refunds

Work begins after the required payment, files, and instructions are received. Payments for work already performed, reserved production time, and nonrecoverable costs are non-refundable to the extent permitted by law. If a requested result is technically infeasible, Highness Media will explain the limitation and may propose a reduced scope or cancel the unperformed portion.

9. Confidentiality and portfolio use

Submitted files are used to evaluate, perform, review, and deliver the project. Highness Media will not publish client-provided files or before-and-after examples without written permission.
